Singtel announced a piece of good news for its customers! From today, Singtel Combo 3, 6 and 12 mobile plans will be upgraded with unlimited talk time and SMS. Customers can sign up for these plans can enjoy unlimited local data with DATA X INFINITY, an add-on available at just S$39.90/month.

At launch, customers who subscribe to Combo 6 and 12 plans will enjoy a free data roaming plan each month. Choose from any of Singtel’s data roaming options of up to S$35 to stay connected while overseas.

Customers who subscribe to DATA X INFINITY will also have the option to share their data with up to three family members with a MobileShare supplementary plan, which is available at S$10.70/month per line.

Parallels Desktop 13 is now available! 

Parallels Desktop 13 makes it simple for MacBook Pro users to add Windows applications to the Touch Bar, and use Touch Bar within Windows applications. It is also the first solution to bring the upcoming Windows 10 People Bar feature to the Mac – including integration with the Mac Dock and Spotlight.

A single mouse click, the Parallels Installation Assistant will automatically install Windows 10 into a virtual machine (VM), which can be purchased at a later date without losing data or installed applications, making getting started in Parallels Desktop 13 for Mac simpler than ever. It also enables users to purchase and automatically install Windows 10 from Microsoft, add an existing copy of Windows, and simply move their PC to their Mac. Users can choose to make Windows look like a PC (Full Screen) or make Windows invisible (Coherence mode), while launching Windows apps from the Mac Dock, Launch Pad or Windows Start Menu.

At the IFA held in Berlin, LG announced its upcoming LG V30.
The LG V30 spots the first F1.6 aperture camera lens, the first glass Crystal Clear Lens, the first OLED FullVision display, Cine Video mode for producing movie-quality videos, premium sound with advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, sound tuning by B&O PLAY, and Voice Recognition. 

On the LG V30, the Google Assistant will be able to activate capabilities specific to the phone. Saying “Ok Google, take a romantic Cine Video” will activate Cine Video preset to Romantic. Or you can say “Ok Google, take a wide angle selfie” to launch the camera app with the setting on the front-facing camera wide angel mode.

LG V30 now comes with four security options. Unlock with Face Recognition using the front camera instantaneously, even when the phone display is off. It can also unlock your phone with your voice voice using Voice Recognition. You can also choose the fingerprint unlock and Knock Code. The phone also features Gorilla® Glass 5, Corning’s most advanced tempered glass, on both the front and rear.

Availability of the LG V30 will start in South Korea from September 21. It will be also released in several countries in North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The V30 with 64GB ROM will come in four beautiful elegant hues: Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet 2 while the LG V30+ with 128GB of storage will be available in limited markets.

Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia announced a new original series on AXN featuring Australia's top magician, illusionist and escapologist, Cosentino. 

The four part series, The Elements will captivate audiences with Cosentino's mesmerizing street magic, large-scale illusions and death-defying escapes all themed around Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.

Filming will take place in Singapore this week and features Taipei, Manila and Kuala Lumpur. Various popular Asian artists, including singers, actors and models will join Cosentino as he performs his spell-binding stunts, creating a raft of “how did he do that?” moments.

The Elements will premiere in early 2018 first and exclusively on AXN.

LG Electronics announced on Tuesday that its newest smartphone - LG Q6 will be available at M1, StarHub and other major retailers from 31st August 2017. Available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Terra Gold, the device will retail at S$368 and comes with a free phone case and transparent screen protector.

LG Q6 features a 5.5-inch FHD+ Full Version display. With the unique display, it allows for easy multitasking as the screen can be divided into two perfectly squared windows, viewable either vertically or horizontally. Square Camera Mode enables the merging of two images into one and the creation of square grid collages.

The smartphone is also set to bring immense convenience through an improved face recognition function. Touché, the world first biometric based loyalty and payment solution is demonstrated at the launch of the POSB Smart Buddy programme on 16th August 2017.

Customised to be a upcoming feature of POSB Smart Buddy programme, Touché enables the payment with just two fingers and eliminates cash, card, vouchers, wearables. Students just need to register their two fingers once on the device and link it through the POSB Smart Buddy programme to their parents’ account.

The students could then pay using their two fingers at any Touché device in the school. With existing features of the POSB Smart Buddy programme, parents can supervise their children’s spending, the items they buy and set limits on their daily expenditures.  The hardware of Touché is an elegant rectangular device that is certified with one the highest resolution biometric sensor in the market to detect two fingers for efficient payment. The biometric sensors that are used on the device are FBI Certified. 

These read up to 45 unique points from each finger, and two fingers are needed for the biometric identification and authentication. The fingerprint images are never stored on the device. The unique points are hashed and encrypted before being sent to a securecloud database. This facilitates highly accurate matching with false positives at the rate of less than one-in-a-trillion. Touché also utilises anti-spoofing technology that ensures the fingerprints used are real and that the person is indeed present.

Do you have plans for year end holidays! Feel like going for a holiday during the year end.

When you hear of friends going to cold countries like Korea, I feel like joining them! I have not been to a country with four seasons before, so I want to try going during the cold Winter period. Not sure if I am going to like it or not, but I am in!

Thinking of all the Winter activities like Snowboarding, skiiing. Just thinking about the cold weather in this hot weather makes me want to book a ticket there straight!

If I were to plan for my trip in Winter, the first thing I would love to try is skiing! It seems super exciting to ski in the snow!

Since I am there, as a Kiasu Singaporean, perhaps I will try snowboarding! Imagine riding the snow. Oh, I also want to try making a snow angel and a snowman! Do you wanna build a snowman?
