Taking over SBS's Wednesday & Thursday 2155 (KST) slot from Saimdang, Light's Diary is Suspicious Partner.

The lead actor and actresses are Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun.

Oh yes, Ji Chang Wook who played that charismatic secret agent in The K2 and Healer. As Suspicious Partner is more of a Romance-Comedy, there will be less "action" scenes that I will expect. Is he going to take on a similar boy next door feel like in Smile, Dong Hae?

As for Nam Ji Hyun, she is the innocent and sweet girl from Shopping King Louie. She transforms from a country bumpkin in Shopping King Louie, to a prosecutor intern in Suspicious Partner.

Before I started my first episode of the Suspicious Partner, these are my impressions of the two leads. With over four episodes watched, it does reminds me of Pride and Prejudice (another Korean drama) where the leads are also the prosecutor and apprentice/ intern.

Noh Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) is a cool but harsh prosecutor. He earned himself the worse prosecutor for being harsh to criminals. Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) becomes his intern in the drama.

A funny encounter on the train, where Bong Hee was molested by a pervert and mistaken Noh Ji Wook as the culprit. How about bumping into someone who you think is a pervert at the hotel cafe and to spite your soon to be ex-boyfriend, ask him for a night?

In the world of drama coincidences, more chances for the leads to like bump into each other even more often. With four episodes completed, I can say that there are too many coincidences in just the first four episodes of the drama. Oh, I sensed some bromance between Ji Eun Hyuk (Choi Tae Jun) and Noh Ji Wook. "My Ji-Wook-i"! What is the story behind this two? Is it as what I suspected? Something got to do with Ji Wook's painful past?

Anyway, Suspicious Partner will air for 32 episodes, with two episodes each day (a break between for commercials) and two days per week.

Goblin or also know as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, is coming to an end for its run. I think it is time to write a review on this very popular drama that got me chasing from the start.

The drama tells the story of a 900 over years old goblin Kim Shin (aka the title character) acted by Gong Yoo, who aims to find his bride Ji Eun Tak (played by Kim Go Eun) to end his immortal life. He is being punished by the almightly. He met the amnesiac grim reaper (played by Lee Dong Wook) and together, they find out more about their pasts.

The drama kept flashing back to the past, where we know the identity of the goblin - Kim Shin. He was a general who died but was given immortal life in order to experience the pain over the lost of his loved ones. A punishment given to him. We also see the young king Wang Yeo, who ordered his death.

With the slow but steady unveiling of the relations between the characters, the drama kept me tuning in for more. The goblin and grim reaper kept bickering and fighting when they started to live together, and they become frienemies (friends + enemies). What makes me like the story is the interesting mix of traditional and modern expects of Korean culture, coming together to become a cohesive story.

I was lost for the first two episodes. Who is the young lady in red and who the granny who protects Ji Eun Tak. Why does the lady in red make the grim reaper choose the jade ring? From explanations online, I get to understand that she is the goddess of birth and fate in Korea. Ah, so that is why she protected Ji Eun Tak and brings the lady boss and grim reaper together.

Oh, why did the lady in red speak to Yoo Duk Hwa, the nephew (played by Yook Sung Jae) as if they knew each other?

We can see that the writer and production team took great lengths to make a good drama with the different flowers for different occasions. They carefully crafted each scene in the drama, releasing bits of clues for the viewers to decipher.

For that, I would recommend this drama to watch if you have not watched it. Enjoy the drama!

I have been busy getting my life in place. So that explains why I have yet to update my blog for ages.

The K2 completed its run in Korea just two weeks back. The political thriller features action packed scenes that will keep the viewers on the edge of their seat.

Featuring Ji Chang Wook and Im Yoona (SNSD) as the lead, the drama is about how a hired mercenary who ends up as a bodyguard in a very powerful security company with connections politically.

Kim Jae Ha (Ji Chang Wook), the protagonist of the drama tries to get over the death of his girlfriend, whom he decided to marry once he is back in Korea. However, she died because of the antagonist.

Jae Ha was framed for killing the girl. Not just that, he is also wanted because of reasons which will be revealed in the later part of the drama. He somehow managed to get back to Korea, and on the way met Anna (Yoona), who was hidden overseas by the stepmother. (Cinderella?)

In the world of coincidence of Korean dramas, the stepmother will also become his employer, his revenge buddy, his "friend".

The drama features intense action scenes with Jae Ha keep getting into fights with the goodies and baddies. Mostly the baddies. Very soon, he finds himself in the middle of a political fight, a family feud, a family problem, with all the main characters. With plot twist and the episodes keeping us in suspense, it is hard to predict what will happen in the next scene.

I like the romance between Jae Ha and Anna in addition to all those action. Not the "cannot make up his/her mind" kind in many Korean dramas. The slow building up of interests in the two makes it a sweet addition in an otherwise very action packed drama.

So what will happen in the end? Will there be a happy ending? Go watch it and find out yourself!
